Beautiful, colorful set of traditional ‘Kijiyama’ kokeshi dolls made by Abe Heishiro.

These authentic kokeshi are wonderful for creating a unique decorative accent in your interior.
The set is in very good condition and has acquired a beautiful patina. Both kokeshi bear a signature on the back.
Traditional kokeshi, also known as “dento” kokeshi, are simple wooden dolls that have been crafted in Japan for centuries. They have a cylindrical shape with a round head and are often adorned with hand-painted flower motifs. Originally made as toys for children, kokeshi dolls are now cherished as decorative objects and collectibles. Each region in Japan has its own unique style and designs of kokeshi, representing a rich cultural tradition.
