These handmade, now iconic leather animals originally served as footstools, but today they are sought-after collector’s items and very attractive design objects for indoor use.
The hippopotamus, which is in very good condition with only slight scratches in the leather, was made in England in the late 1990s and early 2000s directly by the Omersa company. The design comes from the 60s.
Not all of Omersa’s animals have such a striking and nice facial expression as this “Hippo”. It has slight signs of wear commensurate with age.
