This heavy glass hunting flask is housed in its nicely made leather case, ready to strap to the saddle. To hold the contents, the flask is fitted with a silver plated lid secured with a twisting action to release the bayonet fitting. The leather case is 280 mm (11 inches) in length and has a diameter at the top of 80 mm (3.75 inches). The glass flask measures 260 mm (10.5 inches) in length and has a diameter at the shoulder of 52 mm (2 inches). There are no makers marks on either piece. It is in very good condition and would date from the early 20th century.
