Two festive five-flame candelabras on a round, centrally raised foot, segmented by four applied pilasters with volute ends protruding over the rim, ring-shaped and radial relief bands, fluted shaft with leaf and flower festoons widening conically upwards above a fillet, above a further constriction, divided into four curved, profiled, trumpet-shaped widening arms with lavish, sculptural acanthus leaf and flower overlay and bows, at the ends and in the centre five vase-shaped spouts with eaves bowls richly decorated with leaf decoration. His popularity grew when he won the gold medal at the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris.
